What a gorgeous kingfisher, especially against the snowy surroundings! Much brighter colors than the Belted Kingfisher we have here in the States.

It’s a Common Kingfisher – and it has these gorgeous turquoise feathers. I love to see it.

Merry Christmas! I was cheered to see an Eurasian Tree Sparrow in your first photo. The occur in the US only in amsll area of the Midwest.

I have never associated kingfisher and snow… and what a combination it is! Fantastic shots. Hope you had a wonderful holiday.
