Grasshoppers and Crickets

The nice variety of Grasshoppers and Crickets I found in Southern Italy:

Look at the long antennas – could this be a nymph?

A small Field Cricket (Mittelmeerfeldgrille – Gryllus bimaculatus):

A Phaneroptera falcata (Sichelschrecke) – some sort of Katydid:

I love the look:

  1. Nice set 🙂
Lots of species we have also here in South of France – very similar biodiversity than in South Italy

  2. Wonderful grasshopper/cricket images! My what long legs they have. I especially like the Katydid photographs. The last one is priceless.
