Bugs: Eurydema & Corizus

Little bugs tend to be overlooked. I saw those two in Puglia, southern Italy, and when I showed it to the people, they were surprised how beautiful they are.

This bug doesn’t seem to have an English Name, in Latin it’s Corizus hyoscyami and in German Zimtwanze (“Cinnamon” bug) – but this one was sitting on sage.

.

The White Cabbage Bug (Eurydema ornata – Kohlwanze) is a true beauty, look at those colors and “picture” on the back.

The Cabbage Bug exists also in red – I saw it but couldn’t take a decent photo.
