Bugs: Eurydema & Corizus

Little bugs tend to be overlooked. I saw those two in Puglia, southern Italy, and when I showed it to the people, they were surprised how beautiful they are.

This bug doesn’t seem to have an English Name, in Latin it’s¬†Corizus hyoscyami and in German Zimtwanze (“Cinnamon” bug) – but this one was sitting on sage.

.

The White Cabbage Bug (Eurydema ornata – Kohlwanze) is a true beauty, look at those colors and “picture” on the back.

The Cabbage Bug exists also in red – I saw it but couldn’t take a decent photo.
